The most incredible journey you could ever embark on is the journey of marriage.
Standing at the altar and hearing the minister say, “I now pronounce you man and wife,” is the pivotal moment when the adventure begins! It’s a journey that takes a lifetime and grows into a relationship where you are married beyond recognition. Continue reading…
Don’t get bogged down trying to be the “perfect” parent.
Use these three steps (and principles from God’s Word) to become a better parent and a strong parent, not a “perfect” one.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, know this—the devil is a liar, and he will do everything he can to keep you from having God’s blessing on your life! But the truth is he can’t stop the blessing!
Did you know your soul needs a bath on a consistent basis?
In Ephesians 5:26 the Bible talks about how the Word of God is like water that washes us clean. Just like our physical bodies can get polluted and dirty, our souls, or our thinking, can too. Any area of our thinking that doesn’t line up with God’s Word needs to be “washed” with His Word so that we think like Him. Changing our thinking will change our lives.
If you want to see God’s promises to you fulfilled, it’s important to make sure your words match up with God’s Words.
The best way to encourage yourself is to quote Bible verses out loud. Say, “I’m the redeemed of the Lord (Ps. 107:2). I’m the apple of His eye (Ps. 17:8). I’m the head and not the tail, above and not beneath” (Deut. 28:13). Saying what God says about you will speak life back into your soul!
Whether you realize it or not, you’re always speaking over yourself, and those words are either ministering life or death. There is no “neutral” zone. If you’re not saying what God says about you, then you’ll repeat the lies that the enemy and other people may say about you. “You can’t do this! You can’t be that! You’ll never amount to anything! You’ve missed your chance!”
Why agree with lies? If you are going to be speaking over yourself, you might as well make a conscious effort to say what God says about you and speak good things. People won’t always be there to encourage you, but you can encourage yourself. It’s also important to remember that if you want people to say good things about you, you’ve got to sow some seed and speak good things into someone else’s life. When you do you’ll reap “good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over” (Luke 6:38).
Don’t let wrong thinking lead to wrong speaking.
HERE’S A TIP:
THE TAKE AWAY
Get a set of 3×5 cards, find an app, tape a piece of paper to your bathroom mirror – find a way to write down scriptures that tell you who God says you are and start saying those things. Whatever it takes, get God’s Word in front of your face and get His Words coming out of your mouth.

Affirmation is important to us all. We would all like to be constantly affirmed and told how great we are or that we are doing a good job.
The reality is that you may not always be around people who will encourage you and give you the affirmation you desire. In 1 Samuel 30:6 David found himself in this situation but it says, “David encouraged himself in the Lord.” When things don’t seem to be going your way, remind yourself of David’s example. Learn how to encourage yourself.
God has a plan for your money and if you don’t know that plan then a major part of your everyday living is not under His control.
Financial stress can affect your marriage, your family, and even your health. Stress and lack are not God’s plan for you. His plan is for you to prosper. If you are not handling your finances in line with God’s plan, then your whole life will be out of joint.
Today is a milestone and we want to invite you to share it with us!
Over a year ago, we began praying and planning about a new outreach to help restore hope in the lives of families. After much preparation, this past summer, we launched the Fighting for Families radio with Joe.

Did you know you had the best father?
Many of us might think of our parents and say we definitely have the best dad in the whole world. Sadly, there are those of us who haven’t had good fathers and our view of that role is one of disappointment or hurt.
Whether your experience with your earthly father was good or bad, when it comes to fathers, God is the absolute BEST Father in the world!
