The book of Proverbs is filled with practical tips and instructions for everyday living on topics that range from how to treat your neighbor, to how to train your kids, to how to handle your finances and have a good work ethic.

However, although the Bible is filled with natural, practical things that we are responsible to do, we must not forget that God is always ready to come alongside and help us.

Know this—God didn’t call you to do life all by yourself. He didn’t create you and then get bored with you and abandon you. He didn’t write an instruction manual (the Bible) and say, “OK, here’s your manual on how to live life. Now go and figure it all out on your own because I’m busy.” No. God wants to be involved in this whole life experience with you! If you don’t know what to do or can’t figure something out, He wants to help. He wants you to call on Him.
Psalms 145:18 (NIV) says, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
God is always ready to help us! He expects us to do our part, but when we do, He will always add His supernatural ability to our natural ability to bring about victory and success in our lives.

THE TAKE AWAY

Spend time reading God’s Word. Start with the book of Proverbs, and read a chapter every day. As you do, God will begin speaking to you and showing you things that you can do to make your life better.
