When you honor and reverence the Lord and delight in doing His Word, God says you will be full of joy. God doesn’t want you moping around.

He wants you to be full of joy in every part of your life; that includes your marriage.

Top 5 Traits-2

The key to being happy in marriage is to do what God says in His Word. You have to commit to becoming the person that God wants you to be. In Psalms chapter 112:1-9, God gives us a picture of who He wants you to be.

To summarize, it says:

Your children will be successful. You won’t lack. Your good deeds will last forever. You’re to be generous, compassionate, and righteous. You won’t be overcome by evil. You’ll leave a legacy. You won’t fear bad news because you’re confident that God will take care of you. You’re confident, fearless, and face any challenges triumphantly. You’re to have influence and honor.

That’s good stuff! All of these blessings in Psalms chapter 112 are things that you can believe God for! They can be a reality in your life, but you have to first see what God sees, think like God thinks, and say what God says.

It’s not a magic wand and life isn’t perfect – neither are people, but the hope we have is in Jesus Christ. As children of God, we are part of the promises of God.

THE TAKE AWAY

Don’t believe the devil’s lies that you can’t have a happy life. God says you can! You choose who you’re going to believe! Instead of accepting your situation and fighting with your spouse, start resisting the devil! Join forces together against the enemy and start seeing, believing, and saying what God says about you! God’s Word never fails! (Numbers 23:19.)
