As parents, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the daily grind, get worried that you aren’t doing anything right, and start to believe that you’ll never measure up to expectations (your own or other people’s).

Some of the most valuable things in life are your relationships.
To enjoy the value that they bring, you’ve got to learn how to build strong friendships.
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24 NIV).
If you want to have a great life, make sure you choose the right friends. The “friend who sticks closer than a brother” is the kind of friend that will stick with you through thick and thin. Jesus is that friend that sticks closer than a brother and He has set the example for us to follow.
Do you want to have great relationships? Then be a person who brings good news.
The Bible talks about how precious and blessed are the feet of him that brings good news (Isaiah 52:7).
Great relationships make life a lot more enjoyable. However, one reality check that may be hard to accept is that not everybody will like you or want a relationship with you. People will either like you and respond to you, or they won’t. That’s just life.
It’s important to realize that great marriages don’t just happen. Great marriages are built. The relationship you have with your spouse is the most intimate and precious relationship you will have on this earth. Let’s take time to build something great!
