Be your children’s biggest cheerleader by giving them Scripture. You don’t have to have an hour-long Bible study; it only takes 30 seconds to speak the Word of God to them.
HOW TO START TODAY
Before they leave for school say something like, “Remember, Honey, you are the head and not the tail; you are above and not beneath. I believe that everything you set our hand to today is going to prosper.”
Your children may just roll their eyes at you thinking, There they go—doing that religious thing again.” But do it anyway. God watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12 AMP).
God isn’t watching over your word to perform it; He’s watching over His Word. Take 30 seconds and give Him something to work with. For example, tell them, “You’re growing in wisdom and maturity, and you have favor with your teachers, your classmates, and God” (Luke 2:52, paraphrase).
Pray these four things over your child.
THE TAKE AWAY
Don’t wait. Start speaking God’s Word over your family. Find one scripture promise each day or each week and speak it over your child. Tell them what God says about them.
