What you say over your children carries a lot of weight. Children will start to believe what they hear the most often, and if all they hear from their parents is how many mistakes they have made, they will begin to think that they can never do anything right.

Our children need affirmation. That doesn’t mean you won’t correct, but don’t let that be the only communication you have with your child. If God took time to affirm His Son (Matthew 3:17), we need to do the same!

LEARN HOW TO AFFIRM YOUR CHILD

THE TAKE AWAY

This week, look up some of the Scriptures in the Bible that use the phrases, “in Him,” “in whom,” and “through Christ,” to start to find out what God says about His children (including your child). Make a point to say at least one thing to your child every day that God says about them.
