Real adults will take responsibility for things that are not their fault.
Could you imagine God, the Father, turning to Jesus and saying; “I need you to go down there and fix what humanity has messed up”… and Jesus responding; It’s not MY fault they messed up… I’m not taking responsibility for that mess!”
No, that didn’t happen. Jesus took responsibility for His family. He chose to take it on Himself to fix something He had nothing to do with.
