If we want to be successful and live a prosperous life, there are some natural principles that we are going to have to follow.
First of all, we are going to have to work hard. If we want to have plenty of money in our checking and savings accounts, we have to work for it.
As Christians, we must have faith in God and trust Him to meet our needs, but faith also requires action and effort on our part. We can’t just quote some faith confessions, and then sit back, do nothing, apply no effort, and believe that our bank accounts will somehow fill up with money. We have a responsibility to put action to our faith.
The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (MEV), “Learn to be calm, and to conduct your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, so that you may walk honestly toward those who are outsiders and that you may lack nothing.”
The Bible makes it pretty clear that we are to work and earn a living. If we want to increase, hard work is a requirement.
THE TAKE AWAY
“Work” is a natural law. Setting our hand to something gives God something to bless. And His blessing will bring promotion and cause us to increase.
