Some of the most resilient people on the planet are MOMS!
The word resilient means someone able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions, and it also refers to being able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed. I think a lot of moms live up to those definitions!
One of the most resilient people I knew was my grandmother. My grandmother and grandfather got married really young and started having kids right away. They had 12 kids, and three years after the last one was born, my grandfather was killed in a mining accident. My grandmother was left to raise and support all 12 kids by herself.
My grandmother didn’t have a formal education, but she was a wise woman. After my grandfather passed away, my grandmother needed a source of income. One of her hobbies was sewing, so she began a sewing business. She not only made a living at it, but was able to put her six daughters through college. Every one of them got their college degree.
I always admired my grandmother because of what she was able to accomplish. She was a strong, resilient woman who, after a terrible tragedy, bounced back and found a way to provide for and raise 12 children all by herself. In my eyes, she’s definitely a hero in the “Smart Mom’s Hall of Fame!”

The Take Away:
Moms, realize that no matter what challenge you face, God will always grant you all the grace and strength you need to overcome it! Read and meditate on Proverbs 2:8-11, “He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.”
