Following God’s plan for your life is an adventure!
When you first get that vision, it’s new and exciting! But as you move forward, you’re going to run into some roadblocks.
Every hero of faith we read about in the Bible had road blocks. They had to keep pressing on in faith in order to fulfill God’s plan. And guess what? It wasn’t always easy! They had to believe God’s Word in the face of all kinds of challenges, but they didn’t cave in. They stayed the course. And that’s why they’re listed in the “hall of faith” in Hebrews chapter 11.
Faith comes when we hear the Word of God (Rom. 10:17), and we need faith to fulfill the vision. God is big on constantly reading, speaking, and thinking about the Word. He told Joshua to speak the Word and meditate on the Word, so he could do the Word. As a result, he’d be prosperous, successful, and fulfill the plan of God for his life (Josh. 1:8).
When God gives us a vision, we need to make sure we “Word up,” and constantly build ourselves up in faith. Being strong in faith will enable us to stay the course, keep moving forward, and fulfill God’s plan for our lives.
The Take Away:
Every vision has roadblocks. Keep your faith strong by staying built up in the Word. Write down your vision and find scriptures to stand on and that will build faith in your heart. Here are a few verses to get you started: Philippians 1:6 (AMP), Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV), Philippians 4:13 (NKJV). Make it a habit to read, meditate, and speak the Word daily.
