Have you ever heard these words, “She acts just like her mom” or, “He acts just like his dad”?
The Bible says in Luke 6:40 (NLT), “Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.”
Parents are to be the predominate teachers in their child’s life.
As a student, the child will learn not only from their parent’s words, but will also learn from their actions, attitudes, daily habits and disciplines, as well as responses and reactions to life’s joys and disappointments. This makes the home the center of education for children.
RAISING A MIGHTY CHILD OF VALOR
THE TAKE AWAY
Children may spend a lot of time in school and in church with various teachers, but ultimately God has entrusted each parent with the responsibility and privilege of teaching and training their children to become productive, successful individuals. The classroom where most of that training will take place is the home.
Just because you aren’t a perfect parent doesn’t mean you can’t raise a strong child that grows into a strong leader.
