In times like these, security can feel like an impossible thing to have — especially financial security.
Here’s what you need to know —
“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 NLT
“For I am the Lord, I change not…” Malachi 3:6-18 [Read the entire passage.]
“God is not man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” Numbers 23:19 NLT
Do you want more security (financial or otherwise)? If so, there’s one place to get it.
The greatest security you’ll ever have comes through your relationship with God. Part of how you develop that relationship is by reading His Word and learning about His character.
Feeling insecure is what happens when you aren’t sure about something. You can be sure of God. If you’re feeling insecure about what God can or will do in a situation, that comes from a lack of knowing Him. You can be saved and not have a strong relationship with God in the same way you can be married, but not have a strong relationship with your spouse.
You need to spend time with Him, talk to Him, and read His Word. You don’t do this to get spiritual brownie points. The benefit comes in the relationship. You will trust Him more because you know Him.
Security comes in knowing God and understanding what He has asked you to do, so you can confidently obey.
The Take Away:
The greatest security you’ll ever have comes from having a genuine relationship with God.
