Your family is important enough to fight for!

God has a plan for your family. And here is the good thing about His plan. He doesn’t expect you to have the perfect family. He only hopes you have a “getting back up” family.

We all face challenges. We all get knocked down. Maybe your marriage isn’t as strong as it once was. Maybe you don’t have the money to do all you want to do. Maybe raising your kids is tougher than you expected. These are things that knock you and your family down. God wants to help you and your family get back up.

Many people feel like they don’t have the tools to build a successful family.

Have you ever felt like that? I sure have!

My family life didn’t start out quite like I thought, but God’s Word gave me the strength to fight to get back up. Through the Word of God, I found the tools to keep the romance in my marriage, to raise godly children and provide for my family.

Do you feel like your family has taken a hit and been knocked down?

God promises to give you the strength to get back up when you’ve been knocked down!

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT)

You know, God wanted a family. That’s why He made us. And His family went downhill too! As soon as God made man, Adam went stupid and did things his way. Next thing you know, Adam got fired from his job, evicted from his home, and his kids started killing each other! Not only did God’s family get knocked down, God lost his family, but that’s not where the story ends.

Jesus came to this earth to fight for his family. God got His family back. He gives us hope that our marriage, family and life can be restored, repaired, revived and rebuilt!

God called his family, the church. When Jesus was on this earth, He gave us some important advice about family. That advice is in Matthew 16:18. “…I will build my church (family).”

Did you see that? Jesus did not find a church. He built one! And that’s what we need to do!

We don’t find a life.
We don’t find a marriage.
We don’t find a career.
We don’t find a family.
We build one.

Building a family is not easy. It’s a fight. People need the tools to help them see their families grow closer rather than farther apart. Those tools are found in God’s Word. All the answers you need to every question you have – it’s there!

Let’s stop fighting with our family and start fighting for them – because they’re worth fighting for.

No matter what situation you find yourself in today, know that your circumstances are temporary.

God’s Word is the truth and it says:

-His Word has the answers that you need and when you ask Him (Jer. 33:3), He will show you things you don’t know.
-He will never leave you. (Deut. 31:8)
-He will give you wisdom when you ask. (James 1:5)
-He loves you and your children. (Ps. 86:15 )
-He will will deliver you from trouble. (Ps. 50:15)
No matter what you are going through, God gives you hope through the power of His Word!
