God cares about moms!
I don’t know of a story in the Bible that exemplifies this more than the story of Jesus and His mother, Mary.
If you read John chapter 19, you’ll find that the very last thing Jesus did before He died was to make sure that His momma was going to be taken care of. The Bible says that as Jesus was hanging on the cross, He looked down and saw His mom standing there next to John, one of His disciples that He greatly loved and trusted. He said to His mom, “Woman, behold thy son.” And then he said to John, “Behold, thy mother.” From that moment and for the rest of her life, John took care of Mary just like she was his own mom (John 19:26-27).
The Bible says in the very next verse that after Jesus made sure His mom was taken care of that He knew that all things were accomplished, and that’s when He died (verse 28). Here was the Son of God hanging on a cross, bloody, suffering and in extreme pain, barely able to take His next breath as He’s dying for the sins of all mankind, yet, in that moment, He made it a point to make sure His momma was taken care of! If that doesn’t show how much God loves moms, I don’t know what does!
Moms, you’re pretty special to God!
The Take Away:
Mom, never let the devil lie to you and tell you nobody cares about you or appreciates you! God cares about you, and He is looking out for you! If the devil tries to tell you otherwise, quote these scriptures to him:
- 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) says, “He (God) cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”
- Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
