If you have no vision, then you’ll lack discipline, and your flesh will become real dominant.
You won’t be motivated to get out of bed in the morning. You’ll call in to work sick whenever you can. You’ll live a T.G.I.F. (Thank God it’s Friday!) life, and your life’s goals will be to somehow endure another monotonous workweek and make it to the weekend.
But God has something so much better! He can order your steps and give you a vision so that every morning you wake up with a purpose!
The more we build up our spirit man, the more we will be in tune with God and His plan for us. We won’t be led by our flesh, but we’ll be led by our spirits. We need to build up our spirit by, first of all, disciplining ourselves to read and meditate on God’s Word every day. Find scriptures that talk about vision and purpose. Read them, meditate on them, and speak them out loud so they will become rooted in your heart. As you do, God will begin to give you vision and show you some natural steps to take. You’ll start getting busy with His plan for your life!
Pray this:
Father God, I thank you that I am Your workmanship. I am Your own masterpiece, a work of art, created in Christ Jesus, reborn from above, spiritually transformed, and renewed! I’m ready to be used for the good works that You’ve prepared for me ahead of time. I’m taking the paths that You’ve already set and planned for me to walk in, so that I can live the good life which You’ve prearranged and made ready for me! (Ephesians 2:10 AMP.)
