I once had a father introduce his three sons to me. He introduced the oldest and hugged him and said, “He’s a chip right off the old block.” Then he introduced his second son and said, “This is our second son. We’re kind of still working on him.”

Then he introduced his third son and said, “This is my third son. He’s an accident. We weren’t expecting him.”
Can you imagine the thoughts that must go through that third son’s head? Nobody planned for me. Nobody really wanted me. I just “happened.”

Realize this, although your parents did have something to do with you getting on this planet and giving you a flesh and bone body, it was God who created you, and He wanted you here. Believe me, there is no “whoops” about it! Regardless of what your parents, grandparents, stepparents, foster parents, or anybody else says, it doesn’t matter. You are no accident! You’re here by divine selection—God wanted you here!

Psalm 139:16-17 (NLT) says, “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!”

You are the fulfillment of God’s vision. He did a whole lot of thinking about you, and He did a whole lot of planning regarding your life! He wanted you here. God is the one who formed you in your mother’s womb, and He made you special and unique!
