In Matthew 5:9 we read that, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.”

“Peacemaker” is a great word. Peacemakers don’t ignore issues; on the contrary, they face issues head on in a way that is respectful, kind and leads to problem resolution. God has called us to be peacemakers, not pot stirrers. In marriage especially, sometimes this can feel like a tough task, but Jesus set the example.
