“My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27 KJV).
Have you ever heard someone say, “I just can’t hear from God. I pray and pray, but God never speaks to me. I guess I just can’t hear God”?

That’s one of the biggest lies the devil will use to try to neutralize us and keep us from walking out God’s plan for our lives. He’ll try to convince us that we simply can’t hear from God.
Don’t let the devil sell you that lie! If you are born again, then you are a child of God (Romans 8:15-16), and Romans 8:14 says that sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.
A child knows his daddy’s voice. You can put him in a room full of people, and that child has no problem recognizing his daddy calling his name because he’s spent time with his daddy.
If you’re having trouble hearing from God, start spending more time in His Word. The more familiar you become with God’s Word, the more familiar you’ll become with His voice. You may be praying about a decision you’re facing—what job to take, or what college to attend, or who you should marry—and deep down inside you’ll have a sense (a knowing) of what you’re supposed to do. That’s the Holy Ghost inside of you speaking to you and leading you.
The more time you spend in God’s Word, the easier it will be to recognize that “knowing” and be led by the Spirit of God.

THE TAKE AWAY

Don’t believe the devil’s lies. You can hear from God! You know your Father’s voice! Meditate on these scriptures and speak them out loud: John 10:27; Romans 8:15-16; Romans 8:14; Psalm 16:7 (NLT).
