Did you know your soul needs a bath on a consistent basis?
In Ephesians 5:26 the Bible talks about how the Word of God is like water that washes us clean. Just like our physical bodies can get polluted and dirty, our souls, or our thinking, can too.
Any area of our thinking that doesn’t line up with God’s Word needs to be “washed” with His Word so that we think like Him. Changing our thinking will change our lives.
One area where there has been a lot of polluted thinking has been in the area of prosperity. A lot of people wonder: Can I love God and be rich at the same time? Aren’t we supposed to be “humble and poor”? Isn’t money the root of all evil?
Well, let’s see what God says. In Deuteronomy chapter 28 we see a picture of what God wants our lives to look like. Look up this chapter and see all the great things God wants to bless you with! It lists all the blessings God will shower us with when we follow Him and keep His commandments.
Deuteronomy chapter 28 will wash you clean of polluted, wrong thinking about God’s will regarding prosperity. Does God want you to live a blessed, prosperous life? The answer is YES!
The Take Away:
Just like we wash our bodies daily, we need to wash our souls on a daily basis through spending time in the Word of God. I challenge you to read Deuteronomy chapter 28 on a daily basis and watch it change your thinking and change your life!
